PUNISMYNAME, comprising Dom, Paul and Tom, was formed in Oct 2021. The band members have a 25 year history of being involved in outfits such as Zounds, The Astronauts, Band of Holy Joy & Tenpole Tudor, in collaborations with hip-hop artists and in music composition for film, TV. And choral.
At the end of 2021 the band released their single ‘Dude’ and have a 7 track album, Kimono, available on their website www.punismyname.com.
More recently Punismyname have been working with Jenny Matthias (ex The Belle Stars) on a new E.P.
What are they like? Well, probably not like anything you’ve heard before. Some say art punk, others electro jazz. Rich in sonics, melody, humour and at times a dash of dada-ist absurd. Punismyname is new and determined to test the limits of music. Have a listen.
