Lille Røde

Created and fronted by singer/songwriter Anna Mountford, the Lille Røde Band is a four piece consisting of a delicious pack of wolves from the West Country featuring Jim Scriven on Bass, Sasha Impey on Guitar and Chris Phillips on Drums.

Anna is a former professional actress and singer. As a teen she starred in Lloyd Webber’s musical Starlight Express in the West End and went on to become a regular on British tv, in shows like Holby City, Silent Witness, Murphy’s Law and Jack of Hearts. She is now a coach for young actors as well as front woman and songwriter within Lille Røde.

Anna was a self taught singer as a child, influenced by Garland, Streisand, Maria McKee, Joan Osbourne, Edie Reader and the music scene in the 80’s and 90’s. She fronted covers and original bands in and around London through the 90’s but began writing her own material in 2010 following a move to LA and the culture shock of living in Hollywood.

Anna collaborated with local musicians in LA including former Iron Butterfly frontman Billy Demartines. They produced a number of tracks released in the States (The Annilee Ford Band – www.theannileefordband.com)

Run Away, The Boys’ Club and Ruby Shoes are regularly played both on BBC and local community radio, providing a growing fan base for Lille Røde’s live gigs in the South West in pubs, clubs and on the festival circuit.
