SOUNDCHECK featuring KEVIN BROWN

Live at The Old Fire Station, Frome
Saturday 8th August 2020

Kevin Brown was first transported to the blues universe after watching Muddy Waters on the television in 1964. Regardless of his Lancashire roots, Kevin was going to be a bluesman.

Fourteen albums and 1000s of gigs later, Kevin Brown is one the most respected blues guitarists, singers and songwriters on both sides of the Atlantic.

He has attracted plaudits from the great Albert King, Martin Simpson, Joe Boyd and received thanks for his tribute to JJ Cale from his widow Christine Lakeland. He’s played on Mark Knopfler’s recordings and Andy Fairweather Low has played on Kevin’s. Both are Kevin Brown fans.

Kevin’s most recent album is 6 Strings and a Dream – a glorious mix of deep blues and uplifting tropical grooves. Kevin Brown has woven a tapestry of life stories, sung in his signature, laid-back, sand-blown voice and enveloped in his timeless picking and slide guitar.
