Fusing elements of acoustic, Americana, and folk music with occasional touches of rock and jazz, Courting Ghosts position melody at the heart of their compositions. This melody-centric approach is evident in their expansive acoustic ballads as well as their high-energy, rhythm-driven songs.
Emerging from the South West of England, Courting Ghosts is the evolved form of the acoustic duo Lodestone. Longtime friends and songwriting collaborators, Chris Hoar (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Marcel Rose (lead guitar), teamed up with singer-songwriter Dave Turner on keyboards, Andy Maggs on bass, and Tim Watts on drums.
